Domestic Goddess

So I got this wild hair a month ago or so that I needed to paint. Shawn and I keep talking about painting our house and then we never do. So I decided it was time to paint and I actually did it. I decided to start with our bathrooms. The painting didn't turn out too bad! Our main bathroom was painted brown and our master bathroom was painted blue. It is quite a change from what the rooms once were since the rooms were cream to begin with. Our "domesticness" has continued now into more recent times. We went to Home Depot this past Saturday because I needed to get a new towel rod for our master bathroom due to our painting extravaganza. Well needless to say I didn't walk out of Home Depot with just a towel rod! Nopers I found additional projects to help keep Shawn busy. We found very cool tile to put in the two bathrooms and tile that would look absolutely awesome in my kitchen. The tile for the bathrooms was a very good price so we bought it but the tile for the kitchen we are holding off on for a day or two. I will have to add pictures of the tile once Shawn gets started on it.

Backwards

So since I am new to the art of "blogging" my posts will probably go backwards for a bit. I keep thinking about all the things I want to write about and most have already happened. So bear with me for a few while I get into the swing of things.

Rainy Fun Weekend

What a memorial day it was! We went camping for the memorial day weekend and as nice as it was to get away, it could have been better weather. You would have thought that it was Easter Weekend instead of Memorial Day Weekend. Shawn's parents have property in Duchesne, which is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from home but it has some of the perks of home, like running water, power and heat. My kids had an absolute blast riding their 4-wheeler and playing in the dirt. I was so excited to see Taylar ride the little 4-wheeler. I think this is first trip since we bought the kids' 4-wheeler that she has wanted anything to do with it. Usually she is content to play in the dirt, watch movies and pick flowers with Grandma. Cade has always wanted to be on the 4-wheeler and going but he was a good brother and shared this weekend. All the kids had a large timing playing in a water/mud puddle that they found. It was a very muddy mess when they were done but they had such a good time, you can't complain too much about them being dirty. Everyone came back to camp, changed clothes, shoes were put on the fire to dry and they were ready to go again.

First Timer

So I feel like a fish out of water, well kind of. My friend Lindsey has a blog and I always read it and think I can do that. I can talk about my life and my wonderful kids. So here it is, my very first blog.
